Scroll of Apocalypse

Revelation Chapter 5

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals (Revelation 5:1).

This 3D animation represents the scroll of Revelation Chapter five.

The scroll was modeled after photographs of scrolls from ancient Jewish Synagogues. The Jewish Scriptures were written on scrolls rather than books. Printing in books with a press, such as the Gutenberg press, didn't become common until somewhere between 1480 and 1500. The book of Revelation was written around the late first century AD. Therefore the book, of Revelation chapter 5, was a scroll.

Seals were often placed on the inside of the scroll. Break an internal seal to unroll a section of the scroll. Break the next seal to unroll and read the next section of the scroll. The seven seals on the scroll of Revelation represent sequentially revealing God's end time events from His book. Read about animation preparation.

How the Animation was Generated

The scroll was modeled, mapped, and rendered with 3ds Max after photographs of scrolls from ancient Jewish Synagogues. Animation with music were combined with After Effects.

Surreal

The book of Revelation explains end time prophecy symbolically and literally describing dreamlike visions, clear concepts and puzzling topics. As we see signs of the Lord's return remember, Jesus said, ... lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28 KJV).
