About the Graphics
Burning City
The burning city image's based on the following Bible quote.
Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her (Revelation 18:8 KJV).
Based on context, the city may represent great wealth and worldly power. God overthrows the city in one day, demonstrating human resources matter little, when He acts.
Artwork Preparation
The burning city graphic was created with 3ds Max and After Effects. The 3ds Max fire effect wouldn't render with the large number of vertices required for meshes of many city buildings. Therefore two renderings were prepared. One rendering of the city and another rendering of the fire. Both renderings use the same camera and path.
For each rendering, an animated series of frames were prepared. The final still image was selected from the set of frames composited with After effects.
First with 3ds Max, render animation frames, with an alpha transparent background, of the city. Second with 3ds Max, render animation frames of an animated fire, mapped to a sphere. Third composite the frames with After Effects. Last apply Wave Warp and Gaussian Blur effect controls to the city only.
Golden Cup
Learn a little about the Bible online and the history of Jesus through images representing Biblical prophecy. Bible scholars have speculated regarding the identity of the woman holding a golden cup. Some think she represents the Catholic church, or the USA, with great wealth and secular influence. The following Bible verse inspired the Golden Cup image.
The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries (Revelation 17:4 KJV).
Artwork Preparation
The Golden Cup was prepared as an animation with 3ds Max and After Effects. One frame of the animation appears here.
In 3ds Max the cup was mapped with a gold reflective material, shiny highlights, and a leaf like bump decal. Creation of visual effects involved adding two fire effects. During the animation, fire effect parameters change, including flame detail, phase, and flame color.
Animation
The Apocalypse is full of end time visions. Enjoy art work based on the Apocalypse. However only the apostle John, and Jesus, know exactly how those visions appeared. The Apocalypse discusses Armageddon, Bible prophecy, and provides clues regarding whether or not we are in the end times according to the Bible.
